So......why a blog?

Starting a blog is something I've been mulling over for quite some time. I'm not doing it to jump on the bandwagon of "everybody's doing it." It's not that I feel the need to share with the world at large. If anything, I think it's because I want a chance to really work on my writing and self-expression. I tend to be a listener rather than a talker, a reader rather than a writer. I keep things in rather than laying myself open to others. So, for me, this is a giant leap into the unknown, a chance to stretch myself and see where it leads me.
